Hawaii Innocence Project

The Hawai‘i Innocence Project (HIP), established in 2005 at the William S. Richardson School of Law, is a nonprofit legal organization dedicated to exonerating individuals who have been wrongfully convicted in Hawai‘i. As a member of the Innocence Network, HIP provides pro bono legal representation to those with credible claims of actual innocence. (Source Wikipedia) Beyond securing freedom for the innocent, HIP actively works to prevent future injustices by advocating for systemic reforms within the criminal justice system.
