The Red Apple Foundation is a Hawaiʻi-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening public education by providing resources, programs, and improved workspaces for students and teachers on Oʻahu. Founded in 2021, the organization centers its mission on three pillars—education, community, and fundraising. Through initiatives like back-to-school supply drives, classroom and community bench installations, and the ReGenerosity Engineering Program, it seeks to enhance both the learning environment and access to hands-on educational opportunities. The foundation also partners with schools, community groups, and scouts to implement projects, while organizing events such as bowling and golf tournaments to raise funds.

A Rotarian for 12 years, Lasar Hurd-McCabe has had a varied career. Some highlights include a recent organizing business of 8 years, work at a Japanese bakery, a granola factory, and now as a botanical garden aide.

Volunteering in the succulent garden of Foster Botanical Gardens since 2017, Lasar has taught lei classes, supported the garden festivals, and worked on crafts with friends she made there.

Now a part-time employee, Lasar staffs the Wahiawa Botanical Garden one day per week. She prepares or teaches classes including: succulent wreaths, pressed flowers, dried botanical arrangements, and more. Lasar is crafty and loves plants, though she has murdered many of them.

Lasar's favorite people in the world are her husband, Patrick, her children Paul, Peter, and Olivia, her parents, and her sister. Rotarians and volunteers are her 2nd favorite. 

Lennon Akasaka was born in Japan and moved to the United States in the 6th grade. In 2019, he graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and rehabilitation science. Lennon is also certified as a personal trainer by the American College of Sports Medicine and has been performing as a trainer for 10 years. Using his knowledge and experience, Lennon has helped many people overcome their difficulties and achieve fitness goals they never thought possible.

Lennon currently owns Big Blue Fitness Hawaii and hosts a group exercise class called "Mobility and Flexibility" at Kahala Nui and Hawaii Kai Retirement Community, and it is one of the most popular classes he teaches.

At Big Blue Fitness Hawaii, they offer a mobile training service that brings fitness directly to the customer, no gym membership required. They work with clients of all ages and abilities, helping them to build strength, improve mobility, and live healthier, more active lives. Moreover, they specialize in functional training with a strong focus on helping older adults regain confidence and independence through safe, personalized exercise plans. Whether you want to move better, feel stronger, or simply enjoy life more, Big Blue Fitness Hawaii meets you where you are.

Will earned his BA in Communication Studies before pursuing a Master's in Theology, and he currently serves as a realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty.

Driven by a deep passion for connecting with and supporting others, Will lends his time to a variety of community organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce Hawai'i and their Young Professionals Program, the Japanese Junior and Chinese Chambers of Commerce, and the Child and Family Service Guild, among others across O'ahu.

In addition to his real estate career, Will also developed a professional interest in soft skills training and co-founded Manifest LLC, offering workshops and speaking engagements to individuals and groups seeking to enhance their interpersonal and leadership skills. In these workshops, he notes that one of the keys to success in any professional or social networking endeavor is presenting yourself in the best way possible to make connections. Learn about essential networking best practices and how to make a memorable impression wherever you go.

Rydan and Aaliyah are faith driven entrepreneurs and parents who are passionate about helping families improve both their health and their financial future.

Their interest in wellness and GI health grew through years of studying practical health solutions, working directly with families, and helping people make better everyday choices that support long term wellbeing. Through their work in the wellness and e commerce space, they’ve had the opportunity to educate and serve individuals who are looking for simple, effective ways to take better care of their health.

What qualifies them most is not just study, but real world experience working with people, listening to their challenges, and helping them find solutions that fit into everyday life.

Together, they are building a family centered business with the goal of creating greater time freedom while serving their community with integrity and purpose.

Today they’re excited to share practical insights into GI health and why the health of your gut plays such a foundational role in energy, immunity, and overall vitality.
